If you own a Bible, you are abundantly blessed-about 1/3 of the world does not have access to one.
If you wake up each morning with more health than illness, you are blessed to rise and shine, to live and to serve in a new day.
If you have anyone on the planet, just one person that loves you and listens to you; count this a blessing.
If you can freely attend a church meeting without fear, then you are more blessed than over 1/3 of the world.
If you have a yearning in your heart to parent a child, you are blessed because you still desire what you cannot see.
If you pray today or any day, you are blessed because you believe in God’s willingness to hear your prayer.
If you pray for someone else, you are blessed because you want to help others also.
If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head, and a place to sleep; all at the same time; you are rich in this world;
If you have a brother or sister in Christ that will pray with you and for you, then you benefit from a spiritual unity, bond, and agreement, which the gates of hell cannot stand against.
If you have any earthly family that even halfway loves you and support you, are blessed beyond measure.
If you attend a church with a church family that offers you one word of encouragement, you are blessed with some form of fellowship.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, or some spare change in a dish someplace you are among the world’s wealthy.
If you can go to bed each night, knowing that God loves you, you are blessed beyond measure.
If you try each day to imitate our Lord Jesus Christ for even a minute, you are blessed because you show a willingness to grow up in Him.
If you can read this message, you are more blessed than about 2/3 of the world.
If you have never had to endure the hardship and agony of battle, imprisonment, or torture, you are blessed in indescribable measure.
If you have a voice to sing His praises, a voice to witness God’s love, and a voice to share the gospel, you are blessed. About 1/3 of the world does not even know who the one true God is.
If you can hold someone’s hand, hug another person, touch someone on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God’s healing touch.
If you can share a word of encouragement with someone else, and do it with His love in your heart, you are blessed because you have learned how to give.
If you have the conviction to stand fast upon His Word and His promises, no matter what, you are blessed because you are learning patience, endurance, and tenacity.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because most people can, but won’t.

Seseorang saksi diminta kesaksiannya dalam sebuah sidang pengadilan, dan jaksa penuntut mengajukan beberapa pertanyaan kepadanya.
"Apakah Anda menyaksikan peristiwa perampokan itu?"
"Ya."
"Benda apa yang dicuri?"
"Dua buah televisi."
"Apakah Anda melihat pencurinya?"
"Ya."
"Apakah Anda dapat mengenali mereka?"
"Ya."
"Apakah dua orang pencuri televisi itu ada di ruang sidang ini?"
Sebelum saksi itu angkat bicara, dua orang yang menjadi terdakwa dengan polos langsung mengangkat tangan mereka.

Bacaan : Galatia 5:19-26
Kerap kali orang secara keliru menyebut "buah-buah" Roh. Sesungguhnya Paulus tidak menulis agar orang kristiani mempunyai "buah-buah" Roh (jamak), tetapi "buah" Roh (tunggal, dari kata karpos). Memang ekspresinya bisa beragam: kasih, sukacita, damai sejahtera, kesabaran, kemurahan, kebaikan, kesetiaan, kelemahlembutan, penguasaan diri. Tetapi, semuanya itu adalah satu. Konsekuensinya, kita tidak dapat membuat ranking (mengutamakan yang satu dan mengabaikan yang lain) atas ekspresi yang banyak ini.
Kita juga tidak dapat mempertentangkan berbagai ekspresi ini. Sungguh aneh bila seseorang bisa tampak sangat bersukacita, tetapi sekaligus tidak bisa menguasai diri. Memang Paulus tidak bermaksud menyatakan bahwa orang kristiani tidak memiliki kekurangan. Namun, Paulus hendak menekankan bahwa umat kristiani tidak boleh setengah-setengah menangkap karya Roh. Kita harus terus bekerja sama dengan Roh Kudus untuk mengolah kehidupan rohani secara menyeluruh. Ya, kita dipanggil untuk mengolah seluruh hidup, hati, dan realitas kita, secara utuh. Memang perjalanan menuju kehidupan rohani yang menyeluruh tidak segera sempurna, tetapi pada akhirnya kita mesti berjuang agar hidup kita menjadi kesaksian Kristus dalam segala hal.
Perjuangan kita adalah menjadi utuh, bukan sekadar mengusahakan kesalehan dan karunia yang tampak di depan mata. Karunia itu baik, tetapi apalah arti karunia Tuhan bila kita berbuah busuk? Apalah artinya buah kita tidak matang secara keseluruhan, mentah di sana-sini? Mana enak? -DKL

Today's Scripture “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Everyone goes through seasons of difficulty and challenge in life. One of the enemy’s traps is to isolate you and convince you that you won’t make it. But God promises that He will deliver the righteous out of all of their afflictions. You are righteous because of your relationship with God through Christ Jesus. You are righteous simply by having faith in Him, His goodness, and the promises in His Word. If you’re going through a tough time today, keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Declare His promises over your life. You are more than a conqueror through Him! The joy of the Lord is your strength! As you continue to stand, even during the difficult times, you can be assured that victory is on the way. It might be today…it might be next week…next month, or next year, but God is faithful! Through faith and patience, you will inherit the promise. You will get beyond your difficulty, and you’ll increase in wisdom and strength and live the abundant life He has for you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise of victory in every area of life. I choose to trust You, knowing that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
